My Teaching
Currently I teach the following courses in the IDC School of Design, IIT Bombay:
DE319 Interaction Design Process and Methods (a core course for MDes Interaction Design year 1 students, and an elective for BDes year 3 students)
DE318 Interaction Techniques (a core course for MDes Interaction Design year 1 students, and an elective for BDes year 3 students)
DE803 Quantitative Design Research Methods (a course taken by PhD students, MDes by Research students, BDes-MDes dual degree students in their 5th year, MDes Interaction Design year 1 students and often by BDes year 4 students as additional learning)
DE804 Qualitative Design Research Methods (a course taken by PhD students, MDes by Research students, BDes-MDes dual degree students in their 5th year, MDes Interaction Design year 1 students and often by BDes year 4 students as additional learning)
DE346 Human-Computer Interaction Design (a HASMED elective for IIT Bombay BTech students in their 3rd and 4th years)
I have taught other courses in the past, including IN610 Trends in Interaction Technology, IN603 User Studies, IN604 Usability Evaluation, IN614 Soft Prototyping Techniques, and ID800 Design Research Methodologies.
I have taught many professional education courses to industry professionals and a few courses in other universities.
My teaching for the industry professionals is through the Educational Outreach office in IIT Bombay. This includes the Monsoon Course on HCI (which we have organised annually since the year 2000), courses DEO604 Design of Interactive Products and DEO606 Quantitative Research Methods in Design, both of which are part of the ePGD in Interaction Design programme. I have also taught some in-house courses customised for companies.
